Your safety is our priority, and we want everyone to feel safe, welcome and able to enjoy our 20th anniversary celebrations with confidence.

πŸ’œ Last year’s post-event survey showed that attendees felt safe at our event.

βœ… We are following all rules and regulations in line with Martyn’s Law.
βœ… We have invested in steel shield barriers to help protect the event site.
βœ… A fully trained professional security company will be covering the entire weekend, including key road closures during the parade.
βœ… A professional event management company is overseeing the festival and liaising closely with emergency services, security teams and the council.
βœ… CCTV will be in operation across the site.
βœ… Everyone working on site β€” including vendors, staff, security and volunteers β€” has completed the ACT Awareness course by ProtectUK, helping them identify risks and respond appropriately to keep the public safe.
βœ… A professional medical team and ambulance will be on site all weekend to support attendees if needed.
βœ… We have a dry family area, creating a welcoming space for families and young people to enjoy Pride.
βœ… Volunteers working in the family area are DBS checked.
βœ… We have clear safeguarding policies in place, alongside dedicated safeguarding leads with enhanced safeguarding training and experience.

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable event for everyone as we celebrate 20 years of Blackpool Pride! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ
